RODOLFO YGLESIAS VIETO

Our founder has over 50 years of legal practice.  In his wide and distinguished career, he has exercised in the most diverse legal fields, such as Administrative Law, but specializing in Private Law, currently being our main advisor in corporate law, due to his valuable experience in the corporate, labor, economical, banking, and contract fields.  Within his multiple participations in these areas, notable ones include his involvement with the Costa Rican American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), Costa Rica’s Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund, Costa Rica’s People’s and Communal Development Bank, the National Council of Salaries, as well as with different legislation and juridical affairs committees, in which he has made great contributions to the country’s juridical and institutional advance.
His invaluable labor has been object of multiple recognitions and awards by the National Bar, the Inter American Bar, AMCHAM’s different departments, among others.  For all of this we are honored to have Mr. Yglesias V. along with Dr. Yglesias Mora, as heads of our juridical team.

ROBERTO YGLESIAS MORA

In more than 30 years of practice, Dr. Yglesias has focused both professionally and academically, in the subject of property law, real estate, and alternate conflict resolution (arbitration, conciliation, and mediation) also emphasized in real property topics.
He has litigated and been a consultant attorney and advisor in these fields, currently being one of Costa Rica’s most renowned specialists of this branch of the law: he has multiple publications in juridical texts and magazines regarding real estate, property, and arbitration; has continuously contributed to the development of such legal subject in Costa Rica; has remained related to academic and college circles through his seats as Property Law, and Alternate Conflict Resolution’s professor at the most prestigious universities and institutions; and has positioned himself as a main reference point for arbitration and alternate conflict resolution, currently being an active arbitrator at the most important arbitration centers.

ALICE MICHELLE MC COY GARNIER

Certified dispute mediator, with graduate studies in Civil Law and Damages by the Salamanca University, in Spain, years of experience in Private Law, and characterized by her accuracy, pro activeness, and strategic vision for negotiation and approach to conflict; Michelle Mc Coy is a key piece for Bufete Yglesias in both juridical and administrative levels.
Her great analytical capacities, as well as her innovative and modern vision of practical juridical problems, make her the best ally for corporations’ commercial, contractual, and dispute issues.
However, her professional practice has lead Michelle farther in conflict resolution to include successful experience in family law conflict resolution, specially regarding assets distribution, divorce settlements, prenuptial agreements, etc.
As the rest of our juridical team, Michelle is fluent in English, which added to the rest of her attributes, make her the ideal legal advisor for our clients.

MARIA JOSE YGLESIAS RAMOS

With a Law degree from the Universidad de Costa Rica’s Law Faculty, and a graduate school degree in Registry Law, María José has years of experience in Bufete Yglesias focused in Public and Administrative Law.
